Salam,
It’s Wednesday morning and for once it feels like I finally have a little time all to myself, only for one whole week that is. I needed it. Especially after a hive of uni works, so much that it’s taken a toll on me emotion-wise :P So, staying in the house is the wisest thing to do when all we’re hearing on the news is the cold, wet and sticky air. True enough, it’s been gloomy, dull and grey outside. The perfect backdrop to an easy day in, I would say.
On another note, Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed your gas, electric bills going through the roof and especially groceries were getting pricier (Even though we’ve been here just for over a month now). Or haven’t you? That being said, buying the same item, but paying a lot more. Even my pint of guilty-pleasure i.e “Haagen Dazs” too has gone up. (OK, so what else is new, right? :P) And speaking of groceries, the Southgate malls in Bath are not as what I expected, sure they may be some funky stores where the sales persons are looking ever so eager to serve anyone who walks through their doors, but really, none of the stores really appealed to me. (NB: I’ve only been to the New Look (irony: New, but very limited selection of garments), two- storey Boots (BIG and Pretty), Republic (so-so, but I had an eye for the baby pink cardigan, it’s ridiculously comel!), Animal (Room sejuta’s fave :P) and that’s pretty much it. I can’t really say why though, my little gut tells me that I am just one of those people who can’t be easily amused. But Alhamdulillah, we still have ICELAND! And YEAY for that! (Cheapskate is so over-rated :P).
I would want to ride on a bright pink parachute
Yours truly,
